TALES FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WELL - ISSUE TWO
Eep! Squeak!
April is the cruelest month (apparently), but we know that January can be just as cruel, so to brighten the end of your month we are happy to present the second issue of Tales from the Bottom of the Well.
Thank you to everyone who sent us stories or poems for our Wasteland themed issue. Once again, we were chuffed to bits with the quality of the work we were sent and excited to read so many new voices. Our dormice have had a hard job to choose from the many submissions we recieved. After many naps, much whisker-scratching and treacle indulgence the dormice would like to present our final selection of tales and poems. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we have done.
When we asked to be sent submissions, we asked to be shown something different in a handful of dust. These submissions show us more than just ash and dust and waste. They show us much more than that. You'll have to read them to see for yourself what they show us instead...
So, go and get yourself a cup of tea and some biscuits (we recommend you cover them in treacle, but that's just us!) and let our writers show you fear and hope and life in a handful of dust...
Sincerely,
The Treacle Well Dormice
Note: If we have indirectly plagiarised some famous poet, we are sorry. It will not happen again. Honest.
